My Spiritual Path
Religious Background
Why
I was raised Catholic by a mother who is very Catholic and a father who is agnostic at best. He never encouraged going to church, but he didn't discourage going to church. My mom would have liked to have had us go to church more often, but she never really pushed it other than saying, "we should go to church." This was probably because none of us showed much interest in it and mass is silly early in the morning on Sundays.
Around the age of 10 I started to realize that the entire reason I went to church was for the free donuts and hot chocolate that was served after mass. I didn't tell anyone this, though, because I just wanted the food and thought my parents would stop taking me to church if they found that that as I went.
My disinterest in Christianity steadily grew through out the years until I reached high school where I was introduced to general Paganism and Wicca. Wicca was my first instinct, but it was partially due to wanting to "shock" people while partially being due it just feeling right. I never was able to get into practicing it because of my parents so I just kind of let Wicca die and went to just saying I was Pagan.
For the last 7 or 8 years I've just said I was Pagan because I am and it suits pretty well. However, I felt somewhat lacking. I followed various gods (the Greek pantheon and the Egyptian pantheon mostly) and only loosely gave out offerings until I was 22, when I started to actively start to give offerings to Anubis.
Again, I still felt off and Wicca was usually on my mind, but I didn't know much about Wicca. I have recently started to study Wicca at length through the Blue Moon Wicca website and reading various books on being a solitary practitioner, especially the book Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. There is no coven in the area and I don't know any Wiccans to help give me a traditional education though traditional may not be quite right for me, but that's mostly due to me getting embarrassed when in groups.
I am starting to feel that I should fully embrace Wicca and start to actively practice it.
Gods/Goddesses I Follow
I acknowledge that there are many ways to view the God and the Goddess or gods and goddesses and that there are many ways of following them.
I personally follow the following gods and goddesses, at least somewhat actively:
However, I acknowledge all of the gods and goddesses of other pantheons as existing. They just are not the ones that are quite right for me while the Celtic pantheon seems to be the main pantheon for me.
So, I guess that's it for now.
- 0 to 10 years of age: Catholic
- 10 to 15 years of age: Catholic then Wiccan, but in a loose sense due to not having the proper resources to study Wicca.
- 15 to 20 years of age: Pagan (non-nonpracticing)
- 20 to 23 years of age (now): Pagan with a hint of Wicca/thinking about fully embracing Wicca

Gods/Goddesses I Follow
I acknowledge that there are many ways to view the God and the Goddess or gods and goddesses and that there are many ways of following them.
I personally follow the following gods and goddesses, at least somewhat actively:
- Arawn: god of Annwyn (Welsh underworld)
- Rhiannon: goddess of the moon (and various other things)
- Cailleach Bheur: goddess of winter
However, I acknowledge all of the gods and goddesses of other pantheons as existing. They just are not the ones that are quite right for me while the Celtic pantheon seems to be the main pantheon for me.
So, I guess that's it for now.
